CEO for New
Digital Health Startup

Opportunity Overview:

A New York-based investment firm is launching a stealth digital health company in 2019 focused on alternative medicine. It has identified a highly attractive market opportunity and intends to capture a significant part of the $40B+ U.S. market for specialty health-related products.

Who We Are Looking For:

The company is looking for a CEO who has experience defining a company vision, scaling early stage growth companies, building teams, driving adoption of consumer products, and raising capital. Previous professional experience in digital health-related and/or consumer products industries would be ideal. As the CEO, you will:

Lead Strategy

· Set the vision for the company and define the overall strategy and action plan, from launch to scale

· Establish company objectives and key results (OKRs) and manage the company to them

· Provide guidance based on digital health-related and/or consumer products experience to all functional areas of the business including sales, marketing, operations, product, and legal

· Serve as the public-facing, external spokesperson, and champion for the business

· Develop strategic relationships and partnerships to drive growth of company

Lead Finance & Operations

· Drive growth of firm as measured by key results and KPIs the team deems critical

· Manage cash and P&L with strategic growth priorities, budget, and capital strategy in mind

· Create, implement, and refine go-to-market strategy

· Implement test-and-learn practices on company drivers including product, pricing, and marketing

· Proactively plan for and mitigate legal, business, and operational risks

· Lead day-to-day operations

· Lead later round of fundraising to support long-term growth (if needed)

Lead Recruitment & Culture Building

· Identify and recruit the company’s first several critical hires

· Retain, empower, and develop team

· Institute a passionate, high-performing, high-integrity culture 

Desired Expertise & Experience:

· Leadership experience in digital health-related and/or consumer products industries

· P&L responsibilities at the CEO, business unit head, or product lead level

· Past success in growing and scaling initiatives around digital health and/or consumer products 

· Experience in digital content and/or marketing would be beneficial

· Experience in health regulation around digital content and consumer products would be beneficial

· Network for talent and potential partnerships

· Experience with startup fundraising

· Ability to travel occasionally
